This snake dissection was produced in acrylics from my own reference photographs. I first had to do the dissection using a reptile anatomy book for reference. Then I had to come up with a layout that would give the most information on one page.

The illustration was designed as if the snake where wrapped around a branch which would be put in by computer before publication.

A variety of techniques were used to achieve the various skin and tissue textures.
